Airtel Malawi Launches New Voice Bundles for All Networks

Malawi-Airtel Malawi Plc, the country's leading mobile network service provider, has introduced three new voice bundles that allow customers to make calls to numbers on other networks, writes Moses Nyirenda.

The new bundles, which are part of the revamped Chezani portfolio, include the Chezani Daily K200 (for 10 minutes), Chezani Weekly K500 (for 30 minutes), and Chezani Monthly K2,000 (for 140 minutes).

According to Airtel Malawi Marketing Director Thokozani Kamkondo-Sande, the new Chezani bundles will be available under the Airtel to all networks’ option on the *301# or My Airtel mobile app menu, listed as ‘Chezani Bundles.

The bundles will be on promotional offer for 90 days, from March 28 until June 26, 2023.

Kamkondo-Sande explained that the new bundles are part of Airtel Malawi's commitment to making communication more accessible for its customers.

"With the world becoming more connected than ever, it's essential for friends, family, and colleagues to always stay in touch, regardless of the network that they are using. For this reason, we have created these new chezani bundles to keep Malawians connected anytime, anywhere, regardless of their network, all they have to do is to an Airtel SIM card," she said.

The prices of the new Chezani bundles have been made affordable to allow customers to access the bundles according to their budget.

Kamkondo-Sande further explained that the My Airtel mobile App’s user-friendly interface makes it easy to manage all bundles, check balances, and even top up bundles with just a few clicks.

Caroline Phiri, an Airtel Malawi customer, hailed the company for introducing the new Chezani bundles.

"This will help subscribers make calls of their choice," she said.

In addition to the three new Chezani voice bundles, Airtel Malawi has also brought back the Chezani Daily K100 bundle, which offers 5 minutes for Airtel-to-Airtel calls.
