Biggie Lu devastated by Zodwa's ban aftermath

Malawi: The organisers of the Winter Amapiano Vibes show, which was scheduled to feature the banned South African eccentric dancer Zodwa Wabantu at Dominic’s last Saturday in Blantyre, have revealed that the show flopped, leaving them in deep debt.

Biggie Lu, the director of Myuziki Pusha Entertainment, told local media earlier that organisers had already paid the hottie dancer K 6 million for her appearance at the show before her ban was imposed.

An online entertainment platform Mikozi claims in a post hours after Saturday's show that Biggie Lu owes people money totalling K7 million in payment.

When contacted through one of the social media platforms to confirm the figure, Myuziki Pusha Entertainment's director did not respond to the query.

"Some of you wouldn't understand the pressure and what is going on right now but hope you will soon know," he says in a Facebook post published Sunday morning.

Michael Usi, Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Wildlife, stated that Zondwa, real name Rabecca Libram, was not permitted to enter the country in connection with the event due to her provocative dancing antics, which included performing on stage without wearing underwear.

The Minister condemned the dancer's actions as unfit for Malawi.

Meanwhile, speaking to The South African on Tuesday evening, Zodwa slammed the decision.

“I’m so upset…heartbroken actually. I was looking forward to visiting the country, meeting the people and seeing the culture. I’m an entertainer, I just make people happy…I haven’t killed anyone,” she said.
