Biz Malawi Fantasy Premier League Bonanza returns
At the height of the Covid-19 pandemic last year, the multi-award-winning agency launched the Fantasy League Bonanza as a way to keep young people busy.
Malawi: Biz Malawi, Malawi's leading digital marketing agency, has again sponsored the Biz Malawi Fantasy League, which aims to provide a platform for youth interaction and entertainment, writes Watipaso Mzungu.
At the height of the Covid-19 pandemic last year, the multi-award-winning agency launched the Fantasy League Bonanza as a way to keep young people busy.
Tarang Makhecha, the founder of Biz Malawi, stated that they decided to continue with the idea based on the number of inquiries they received from the general public.
"As you know, we launched this initiative last year, and it drew a lot of public interest, with over 800 young Malawians participating, and when the season ended in May this year, we rewarded the winner, who was from Lilongwe." So, as the season approached, we were inundated with inquiries about whether the initiative would be continued, and we made the decision to do so. So, once again this year, we are committing MK 1 million in prize money to the winner," Makhecha said.
Fantasy Premier League is a game in which you play as a fantasy manager of Premier League players.
To participate in the game, go here, and must select a squad of 15 players from the 2022/23 Premier League who score points for your team based on their club's performances in actual Premier League matches each week.
The team with the most points at the end of the season will win the bonanza.
With only one round of games played, over 100 people have joined, and the number is expected to grow before this weekend's games.
Pachalo Nzugu, a young player who has joined the bonanza, expressed delight at the return of the bonanza.
Nzungu hopes that this time he will be able to claim the prize.
"I missed out on the money last year, but I am excited that the bonanza is back this year, and I hope that I will play my cards correctly and emerge victorious," he said.
