Malawi President Lazarus Chakwera has appointed Merlyne Nachulu Yolamu as Inspector General of Police, Secretary to the President and Cabinet Colleen Zamba has announced.

Malawi: Malawi President Lazarus Chakwera has appointed Merlyne Nachulu Yolamu as Inspector General of Police, Secretary to the President and Cabinet Colleen Zamba has announced.

She takes over for George Kainja, who was fired by President Chakwera after being implicated in bribery allegations involving businessperson Zuneth Sattar.
