Chakwera commissions multi-billion kwacha Luanar Administration Building and Teaching Facility
The Gateway Administration Building and Teaching Complex, which includes six laboratories and two lecture theatres, will be able to accommodate over 410 students per session.
MALAWI: President Lazarus Chakwera on Friday, 6 May 2022, launched a multibillion-dollar project at the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources - Bunda Campus.
The Gateway Administration Building and Teaching Complex, which includes six laboratories and two lecture theatres, will be able to accommodate over 410 students per session.
According to Luanar officials, the project has taken ten years to complete since 2008.
The chairperson of the varsity's council, Zachary Kasomekera, praised President Chakwera's administration for ensuring the project's completion.
During his visit, Chakwera was shown around the school's facilities and given a tour of the university's initiatives.
Gateway Administration Building and Teaching Complex have spent a total of 13 billion kwachas.
