Chief Education Officer hails MUBAS CEC in Salima
Salima District Chief Education Officer has hailed the Malawi University of Business and Applied Science(MUBAS) Continuing Education Center (CEC) for promoting education in the district.
MALAWI: Salima District Chief Education Officer has hailed the Malawi University of Business and Applied Science(MUBAS) Continuing Education Center (CEC) for promoting education in the district.
Dr. Annie Chizengo commended the great work that MUBAS is doing through the provision of higher education in the district and in Malawi in general.
“l would say education needs to be expanded having in mind that the educational institutions that we have are not enough to offer education to all the citizens in the country,” said Chizengo.
MUBAS Coordinator for Salima Mcgiven Chinyamula said that as Salima Center, they are doing all it can to take higher education to a higher level.
“As Salima branch, we are doing a lot and we will continue doing our level best to make sure that higher education should reach every student in the district,” said Chinyamula.
He added that it was so important that parents should realize the potential of the institution and sent their children to attain a better education.
“We are happy that we offering advanced diplomas but in due course will be able to launch the degree programs,” said Chinyamula.
John Kanyoza, a Salima resident and a student at MUBAS Salima CEC, echoed Chinyamula’s sentiments while appreciating the adorable efforts the CEC is rendering in offering excellent higher education in the district.
MUBAS Salima CEC offers various courses that include Community Development, Business Management, Public Health, and Human Resource since 2019 and has been among all the CEC.
