Chikwawa Police OC pleased with recruit constable's dedication

Malawi: Chikwawa Police Station Officer-in-Charge, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Alex Simenti, has expressed gratitude to departing recruit constables whose time at the station helped to reduce crime.
Simenti said this on Saturday, August 27, 2022, while bidding farewell to the recruit constables who had just completed their practicals at Chikwawa Police Station.
However, the OC reminded them to keep working hard because the training is still ongoing until they complete the course.
"The journey has only just begun; there is still work to be done; as such, refrain from immoral behaviour that may result in 'Unlikely to Become Efficiency' (UBE)," Simenti said.
He also thanked all branch heads and officers for their tremendous assistance in allowing the probationers to practise police work.
In his remarks, Justice Anastazio, the Squad Leader for the recruit constables, thanked the management of Chikwawa Police Station for providing them with relevant knowledge and skills for police work on the ground.
He promised that his squad would continue to improve when they returned to the Police Training School.
Chikwawa Police Station received 15 recruit constables for practical training, the second cohort of which spent three months at the facility.
