DPP Assures Supporters of Comeback in 2025 General Elections
The DPP reassured supporters of a strong comeback in the 2025 general elections despite the Tonse government’s shortcomings, writes Judgement Katika
Blantyre, Malawi - Amidst the spotlight on the shortcomings of the Tonse government, the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has reassured its supporters of a strong comeback in the upcoming 2025 general elections, writes Judgement Katika.
Addressing a mass rally in Blantyre, Chipiliro Mpinganjira, the Member of Parliament for Blantyre Central, expressed confidence that despite internal conflicts within the party, the DPP will regain the power to alleviate the challenges faced by the people.
"We have organized this rally to instil hope in our members that the DPP will reclaim power in the upcoming 2025 elections and rescue the people from the numerous difficulties they are currently experiencing," said Mpinganjira.
During the rally held on Sunday, May 14, 2023, in Ndirande, Blantyre, Mpinganjira invited party members from all regions of Malawi to share words of encouragement with the attendees.
He attributed the current setbacks to the failures of the Tonse government.
Prominent figures present at the rally included Chimwemwe Chipungu, Mary Navitcha, Victor Musowa, and Ben Phiri, all of whom affirmed their unwavering support for the incumbent president of the party, His Excellency Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika.
The DPP is determined to overcome challenges and restore its position as a major political force ahead of the 2025 elections. With its supporters rallying behind the party's cause, the DPP aims to bring about positive change for the people of Malawi.
