Exit Mpinganjira: enter Namalomba

There has been leadership wrangle in DPP since its loss during the fresh presidential election.

Malawi's former governing Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has announced a change of its spokesperson position .

A press release signed by the party's Administrative Secretary, Francis Mphepo, says lawmaker Shadreck Namalomba has replaced veteran politician Brown Mpinganjira, “with immediate effect”.

The press release has further extended party's gratitude to Mpinganjira for the work he did while serving as the DPP's spokesperson.

There has been leadership wrangle in DPP since its loss during the fresh presidential election.

Some few weeks ago, the party announced the that it is intending to restructure itself pending 2025 election and ordered to let by-gones be by-gones and moved on to reinstate its three National Executive Committee members, including Kondwani Nankhumwa.
