Government steps in for Martse

MALAWI: The Presidential Advisor on Youth and Arts, Lucius Banda, has stated that the government will assist musician Martin Nkhata, also known as Martse, who is currently hospitalised in Blantyre.
“I have learned with shock about the sad incident that has happened to one of our Artists, Martse. l pray to God that he gets well soonest,” said Lucius on his Facebook page.
“On behalf of the Government, I should assure the family that we are set and ready to come in if anything beyond what is already being done in our hospital, may be recommended for him. We stand with Martse in this difficult time.”
After being transferred from Mangochi to Blantyre, the "Go Deeper" star is now receiving treatment at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital.
Martse has sustained fire burns in a fire accident.
According to reports, the house the artist slept in allegedly caught fire in Monkey Bay.
