The congregation also plans to release and sell books containing this year's program to encourage and remind their members of each event throughout the year.
Malawi: Kakoma CCAP in Mchinji District has taken a unique approach to raise funds for their church activities by cultivating soybeans, writes Beston Simwaka.
Mr Gideon Zimba, a member of the congregation, spoke about the importance of the initiative for Christians who face challenges such as flooding, funerals, and sickness.
The congregation also plans to release and sell books containing this year's program to encourage and remind their members of each event throughout the year.
Zimba called on all Christians at Kakoma CCAP to take part in this year's fundraising activities, as well as advise other churches to find fundraising activities to improve their churches.
Reverend Makala Mbewe thanked the Christians for their cooperation and dedication to the fundraising activities.
The theme for this year's fundraising activities is "Kukumbukilidwa ndi kuyenderedwa ndi Mulungu" from 2 Samuel 19:3.
Kakoma CCAP is located at Kamwendo Trading Center, under the Traditional Authority Zulu in Mchinji District.
