Lilongwe Man Wins 23 Million Kwacha Playing Premier Bet's Rocket Man Game
Andsen Banda placed a stake of K250 on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, and was presented with a dummy cheque at Premier Bet's head offices in Lilongwe.
Malawi: A 29-year-old man from Area 25 C in Lilongwe, has won a staggering 23 million kwacha playing Premier Bet's Rocket Man game, writes Bridget Mwanoka.
Andsen Banda placed a stake of K250 on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, and was presented with a dummy cheque at Premier Bet's head offices in Lilongwe.
"I have been idle without any tangible source of income," Banda said.
"I am a Chancellor College graduate of Media Studies, so I will use the money to start a media company specializing in video production, design, and jingle creation."
Premier Bet and Premier Lotto Commercial Manager Trevor Whitaker urged the public not to rely on gambling as a source of income, but rather to view it as a recreational activity.
"It's a good development that people are winning in large numbers," Whitaker said. "However, people should not use gambling as a source of income."
Banda's win comes just four days after another Lilongwe resident, Tamandani Mtegha, won 8 million kwacha playing a Premier Bet game.
