Lilongwe resident wins K33 million through sports betting

Lilongwe, Malawi-A man from Area 23 in Lilongwe, has won K33 million through sports betting with Premier Bet Malawi, writes Bridget Mwanoka. 

Precious Chilipa placed two stakes of K200 on Saturday, May 6, 2023, and has been presented with a dummy cheque at Premier Bet's head offices in Lilongwe.

Chilipa expressed his disbelief in winning and said, "I am happy to be one of the lucky winners because I have been struggling, my pool table business was not enough to cater for my wife and child, so I will use the money to start a transport company and build a nice house."

Trevor Whitker, Premier Bet and Premier Lotto Commercial Manager, congratulated Chilipa, calling the win a remarkable story of luck and success, as well as a testament to the power of sports betting as a form of entertainment.

Whitker also urged people to bet wisely and not take it as a hobby.
