The President was greeted with a warm welcome from both Qatari and Malawian delegations upon arrival.
According to President Chakwera, he and the First Lady have already begun preparatory work for Malawi's participation in the conference, which is set to begin this coming Sunday.
The President has expressed his commitment to represent the interests of Malawi during the event and solicit substantial investments to help the country realize its Sustainable Development Goals.
President Chakwera is optimistic that Malawi's participation in the conference will help the country graduate into a middle-income economy.
The conference, which will focus on the Doha Programme of Action, is expected to attract high-level participants from around the world.
