Malawi-Fans and music lovers are eagerly anticipating the release of Malawian heavyweight music re-arranger and singer Mcluther's upcoming song, writes Comfort Bulangete.
The indigenous singer took to his social media accounts on Facebook and WhatsApp to announce that he has a new song coming out, featuring one of his time music producer Ze Fiasto.
Mcluther confirmed that the song will be released on February 27, 2023, and that it will be played on various local and international media platforms beginning on that date.
The song will also be premiered on Joy Nathu's "Made on Monday," a radio program that airs every Monday evening on Malawi Broadcasting Cooperation Radio 2 FM. Additionally, the song will be accessible on Joy Nathu's website on the same day.
"I was outside the country tied up with other things, and now I am back and ready to offer good music," Mcluther said. He added that the song, titled "So much," is a confession of a lover professing their love and explaining the depth of their feelings.
Fans, including Quincy Jones, a music director at Palazzo Versace in the United States, expressed excitement about the upcoming release.
"The song will be incredible, citing Mcluther as one of the great musicians he has known," Jones said in a video posted on Mcluther's Facebook page.
One of Mcluther's fans, Francis R. Kharikho, expressed his eagerness for the release of the new song on the artist's Facebook page, saying he had high expectations.
Mcluther, a Malawian soulful contemporary jazz artist based in Blantyre and a 2014 E-Wallet Sunbird Search for a Star Winner, confirmed with reporters that he is ready and set for his first music release in 2023 after staying silent for a while.
The release of the new song is expected to bring a lot of good music to the Malawian music industry.
