Minister of Tourism Commends Mzuzu University Faculty for Boosting Tourism Sector

MZUZU, Malawi-The Minister of Tourism praised the Faculty of Tourism at Mzuzu University as being paramount to the success of Malawi's tourism sector during a tour on Wednesday, writes Chisomo Chimenya.

Appreciating the faculty's efforts in anchoring the industry, Minister Vera Kamtukule stated, "They [the faculty] are working tirelessly to make sure they address a number of key areas as far as anchoring the tourism sector is concerned."

She also commended the faculty for teaching students how to contextualize tourist destinations in Malawi and package them in their destination marketing class.

Additionally, Kamtukule noted that the culinary arts class teaches students different ways to produce food not only for Malawians but also for those beyond Malawi's borders.
