Ministry of Education pleased with start of this year's MSCE examinations
MSCE exams began on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at 8 a.m., with candidates sitting for Agriculture Practises or Agriculture Paper 1.
Malawi: The Ministry of Education is pleased with how this year's Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations have begun.
Agnes NyaLonje, the minister in charge, stated that she was pleased with the level of security at the examination centres and the invigilation exercise, among other things.
She made the remarks during a visit to Madzanje Day Secondary School, Ntcheu Secondary School, and Kings Foundation Private Secondary School in the Ntcheu District.
"I like what I'm seeing because it indicates that this year's MSCE Examination will be credible; on the first day, the turnout of candidates is so impressive,” she stated.
Spot checks in these examination centres revealed that officers from the Malawi defence force and the Malawi police service were keeping the administration exercise under tight control.
The number of male candidates has also increased to 80,340, compared to 72,249 for female candidates.
