Micheal Kanjaya, Chairperson of the Board and Head Teacher of St Peters Primary School, said Wednesday after receiving the donation that the money would help the board ensure the smooth running of term three standardized examinations for all primary schools in the District.
"This donation will be used for transportation of examinations to schools as well as purchasing stationery such as reams of paper and toner, among other things," he explained.
Kanjaya stated that the board received very little money from user fees paid by learners, with each student paying K1,000.00.
"Given the shortfall, we decided to seek assistance from the MP." "The donation will actually fill a resource gap that we have been facing for quite some time," he explained.
