MW government urged to consider early childhood development as one way of promoting quality education

Early Childhood Development Coordinator Jean Majawa urged civil society organizations in Zomba to embark on assisting ECD in the district as one way of developing the nation.

MALAWI: Government has been urged to consider early childhood development as one way of promoting quality education in the country.

The remarks were made recently at Sunuzu where 53 children graduate from early childhood development to primary school.

Speaking at the ceremony future vision ministry country manager Newton Sindo said they thought it wise to keep children busy with education as one way of achieving sustainable goals on education.

Sindo said, “We appeal to other stakeholders to complement government efforts in promoting the right to education and he emphasized the need for stakeholders and government to work together in introducing several early childhood developments centers in different areas.”

In her remarks district, Early Childhood Development Coordinator Jean Majawa urged civil society organizations in Zomba to embark on assisting ECD in the district as one way of developing the nation.

One of the caregivers from Chinangwa Community Based Care Center Chrissy Smart applauded the future vision ministry for assisting children in the area and appeal to parents in the country to take a step in by encouraging parents to send their parents’ early childhood development to reduce illiteracy rate in the country.
