MALAWI/ZAMBIA: Malawian musician, who is now based in Zambia, Patience Namadingo, is today expected to write an indelible history in his music career as he holds his first-ever grand concert at Lusaka Show Grounds Main Arena in Zambia.

According to the artist's social media platforms, the show is slated to open gates at 14:00 hours and at least eleven artists are expected to support the Doc.

Remarking on the show live on his Facebook page yesterday, Namadingo, said the concert is a big step in his career, as he remembers coming from as far back as 2007 when he started holding shows on a quite disappointing note.

Meanwhile, another Malawian artist, currently based in South Africa, Tay Grin, has expressed his awe ahead of the gig.

While announcing his availability at the show, Tay Grin, who is now Namadingo's right-hand man, said he is not an invitee to the show but rather a key element of the same.

"We have not been invited to a concert in Lusaka Zambia. We are doing a concert in Zambia. The King is there to make sure Malawian culture is well represented," wrote Tay Grin, whose birth name is Limbani Kalirani.

Besides, Tay Grin, some Zambian artists are expected to support Namadingo and they include James Sakala, Maureen Lilanda, DJ SoundBwoy, DJ Gavino, just to mention a few.

Namadingo's first album was named Goshen and it was released in 2007. It contained ten tracks but it made very terrible sales on the market.

However, the artist has risen to unprecedented fame with the latest tracks like Maplan, Sakaka, Mango, and many more which have catapulted him to an ever-growing fan base.
