PRIVATE PARTS SELLER IN POLICE CUSTODY

In a classic example of rat-cat appointment, the police in Lilongwe have arrested a man who was about to remove private parts of his friend after he called a wrong number.

The suspect Ayami Maganga thought he was calling a prospective buyer but mistakenly called an unknown person who later informed the matter to the police.

Mr. Maganga was allegedly plotting to remove the private parts of a friend he brought from Mangochi on the pretext that he would secure him employment in Lilongwe.

People can do almost anything to accomplish their goals—moving mountains if need be!

In what could be a mysterious movie script, the suspect, Mr. Ayami Maganga, lured the victim for greener pastures in Lilongwe, promising him to secure him employment in the bustling city.

Upon reaching Lilongwe bus depot, according to Central Region Police Public Relations Officer, Inspector John Namalenga, the suspect decided to call the prospective buyer.

‘The suspect Ayami Maganga thought he was calling a prospective buyer but mistakenly called an unknown person who later informed us about the matter’, says the police PRO.

After getting the tip, the police rush to Lilongwe bus depot where they arrested the suspect.

Inspector John Namalenga says, ‘After searching him, we found sharp knives in his bag, which means he was prepared to accomplish his mission.’

According to the police PRO, efforts to speak to the prospective buyer proved futile, as he could not pick his phone.

‘He must have smelt a rat,’ says Inspector Namalenga.

The suspect, Mr. Ayami is aged 25, and hails from Malukula village, Traditional Authority Chimwala, Mangochi district.
