Two arrested in Chikwawa for livestock theft
Police in Chikwawa have arrested two notorious cattle thieves who have been allegedly terrorizing livestock farmers in the district.
Police in Chikwawa have arrested two notorious cattle thieves who have been allegedly terrorizing livestock farmers in the district.
The duo was arrested on Sunday 3 October 2021 at Dyeratu Trading Center after a long manhunt by the police.
Chikwawa Police Station Spokesperson Sargent Dickson Matemba said the two have been terrorizing livestock farmers in the district for some time now.
“After conducting their investigations and some follow up of the complaints filed at their station, police managed to arrest the two at Dyeratu Trading Center after along manhunt on Sunday,” Matemba said.
Police in the district have assured farmers that they are working tirelessly in making sure that their livestock are secured and investigations are still underway to make sure that they sweep the rest of other suspected rustlers.
Chama and Sande will be taken to court soon to answer several charges of theft.
