Ugandan Stand-Up Comedian Teacher Mpamire Arrives in Malawi for Boxing Day Performance
Ugandan stand-up comedian Teacher Mpamire, also known as Herbert Mendo Ssegujja, has arrived in Malawi for a performance at the Bingu International Convention Centre in Lilongwe on Boxing Day.
Malawi: Ugandan stand-up comedian Teacher Mpamire, also known as Herbert Mendo Ssegujja, has arrived in Malawi for a performance at the Bingu International Convention Centre in Lilongwe on Boxing Day, writes Thokozani Beaton.
The event, dubbed "Vilekeke Night of Laughter," will feature comedy and music performances.
Teacher Mpamire was welcomed at Kamuzu International Airport by host comedian Felistus 'Nya-Uyu' Ngwira and a group of girls dressed as students, who sang a song that is popular in Malawi's primary schools.
South African comedian Mozisi was also in attendance. Teacher Mpamire was dressed in Uganda's flag.
