Uncle Harvest:Now that it's MW2063 implementation phase

The Malawi 2063 strategic development trajectory was agreed upon and approved by all stakeholders, it is therefore time that the Tonse government administration must come up with a four year strategic implementation plan that begins to move this country towards the MW2063 goals.

The next four years are foundational to the successful implementation of this national development vision and plan.

We can no longer as a country be driven by party political manifestos.

The aspirations of any party must be the desire to see Malawi progress towards MW2063.

All government programming must be MW2063 compliant.

Similarly, any viable political opposition must not waste time in partisan political pursuits. Political opposition must provide checks and balances that seeks to promote the implementation of MW2063.

They should always be ascertaining that government is on target in its implementation of our vision.

A similar demand must be made on civil society organisations.

Personal, cultic agendas cannot not be seen to pursue public interest. Pursue the development agenda of Malawi and not the interests of your funders.

Malawians have collectively agreed on their vision and development trajectory as espoused in MW2063.

Everybody is therefore under obligation to fulfill this agenda and no other.

A specific and serious reminder to all funders of development programmes; align your interest and support to MW2063, do not pursue parallel or contesting development programmes and priorities.

In this way we will avoid the tragedy that was Vision 2020.
