Wealthnet-KakuPay Smart Money Signs Afro-Jazz Musician Keturah as Brand Ambassador

Wealthnet Finance PLC, the first wholly-owned Malawian Deposit Taking Microfinance institution, on Tuesday 1 June 2021 signed Afro-Jazz musician Keturah as its brand ambassador.

Excited with the news, Keturah wrote on her Facebook page:

"I'm very pleased to announce that, effective today, 1st June 2021 to 1st June 2022, I am a brand ambassador for Wealthnet Finance PLC, Kaku Pay Smart Money. This is a huge step in my career and I would like to thank everyone involved in my music to this date. A huge thank you to Kaku Pay who by showing belief in working with my brand, have also shown that they are ready to support local talent."

The signing ceremony, which took place in Blantyre, was also witnessed by Keturah's manager, Pemphero Mphande, who has so far used all the tricks in the book to propel the upcoming musician to stardom.

“Congratulations, Keturah on your one-year ambassadorship deal with Wealthnet Finance Public Limited Company. This is a big deal. You are very talented. You do extraordinary music that every Malawian should be proud of because it's the stuff that places value on our country. Thank you to Kaku Pay and all the best Turah. I'm very happy for you. And yes, that was the good news!” Mphande said.

On its part, the company said it is keen to support local artists and develop local talent.

"It is for this reason that the company has signed Keturah as one of its Brand Ambassadors. The company is looking forward to engaging many other upcoming artists that are interested to develop a long-term business relationship with our company," a statement from Wealthnet reads, in part.

Wealthnet Finance PLC, the first wholly-owned Malawian Deposit Taking Microfinance institution, was established to support Malawians build Wealth and be financially free and self-reliant. In November 2020, the Reserve Bank of Malawi approved its first banking hall for deposit-taking operations.

In February 2021, its unique flagship online and USSD-based core banking/payment system called KakuPay Smart Money was approved by the Reserve Bank of Malawi for public use.
